32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
👉Honour thy father and thy mother:👈 that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
27 Honour thy father with thy whole heart, and forget not the 👉sorrows of thy mother.👈
28 Remember that thou wast begotten of them; and how canst thou recompense them the things that they have done for thee?
‼We are instructed to teach our children from their youth stage‼
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise 😉
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
20 My son, keeps thy father’s commandment, and 👉forsakes not the law of thy mother:👈
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
1 (Maschil of Asaph.) Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 We will 👉not hide them from their children,👈 shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
6 That the generation to come might know them, even the👉children which should be born;👈 who should arise and👉 declare them to their children:👈
7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but 👉keep his commandments:👈
8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
2 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee,👉 thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son,👈 all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt 👉teach them diligently unto thy children,👈 and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
❗Why is it important to teach the children? Because the young children also get judgement including death.❗
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou that for all these things 👉God will bring thee into judgment. 👈
10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: 👉for childhood and youth are vanities.👈
‼Christ also instructs us to keep all the laws which we read from the bible which he himself kept.‼
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, 👉what is written in the law? How readest thou?👈
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt👉 love 👈the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
🔥(Remember love is the keeping of the commandments of God according to 1 John 5:3)🔥
41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, how is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51 And 👉he went down with them,👈 and came to Nazareth, and 👉was subject unto them:👈 but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21 Fathers, 👉provoke not your children to anger,👈 lest they be discouraged.
‼How do we break this commandment and what are the laws stipulated under this commandment‼
15 And he that 👉smiteth (beat)👈 his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
17 And he that👉curseth👈 his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that 👉curseth father or mother, let him die the death.👈
5 But ye say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye👉 made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.👈
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these 👉❌two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.❌👈
24 Whoso 👉robbeth (steal)👈 his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
1 👉Rebuke not an elder👈, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
2 The 👉elder women as mothers👈; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
17👉 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves:👈 for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and 👉honour the face of the old man👈, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and 👉despise not thy mother when she is old.👈
23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bares thee shall rejoice.
9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
