❌The 7TH Commandment❌
14 👉Thou shalt not commit 👉adultery👈.
In the Old Testament under the law of Moses, the penalty for committing adultery is death.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbors wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
This verse also shows it is a sin to rape
And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbors wife, 👉the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.👈
And if a 👉woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another,👈 she committeth adultery.
2 For the woman which hath an husband is👉bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth;👈 but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
8 They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.
9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
‼How did Christ re-examine this commandment. Did he abolished it or make it more difficult than it was from the beginning⁉
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, that 👉whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.👈
And I say unto you, whosoever shall 👉put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her who is put away doth commit adultery👈
But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall 👉marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.👈
What is the difference between Adultery and fornication?
‼Adultery is when a married man or woman has sex outside his marriage and fornication is when a sister or brother sleeps with a man or other sisters without getting married. This leads us to definition of marriage according to God‼
In this present world marriage is simply when a man puts a ring on your finger and before that happen you are free to have sex with whomever you feel you love pending when the right man/woman do the right, which means having girlfriend and boyfriend is okay .
‼According to God, that understanding of marriage is sin and it violate the 7th commandment. To God, marriage is when a man entice a woman and have sex with her , it become mandatory according to law to endow her to be his wife. This is marriage to God .The ring signifies nothing but a mere tradition of men‼
16 And if a man entices a maid that is not betrothed, and 👉lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.👈
Having this understanding of marriage, what is the solution to avoid adultery and fornication?
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but 👉whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.👈
1 Corinthians 7:2
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, 👉let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.👈
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
